Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Planoptx iOS application and related services ("Service"). By creating an account or using Planoptx, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Planoptx helps you plan trips, generate AI-assisted itineraries, track expenses, and view travel-related information. Features may change over time. Some features require iOS 26+, network access, or a supported device for on-device AI.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You may delete your account as described on our account deletion page.
4. AI-generated content
Itineraries, budget suggestions, expense categorisation, and similar outputs may be produced by on-device AI or heuristics. They are suggestions only — not professional travel, financial, or legal advice. Always verify venues, prices, visas, safety, and health guidance independently. We are not liable for decisions you make based on app content.
5. Maps and third-party data
Place names, hours, and directions come from Apple Maps and other third parties. We do not guarantee accuracy or availability. Your use of map links is subject to Apple's and Google's terms.
6. Premium passes and purchases
6.1 Pass types
Pay-as-you-go premium passes (prices may vary by region):
- Weekend Pass — approximately $1.99 for 3 days of premium access
- Trip Pass — approximately $4.99 for 14 days
- Long Trip Pass — approximately $9.99 for 45 days
- Annual — approximately $29.99 for 365 days
See pricing for the current feature list.
6.2 Billing
- Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). Apple's terms apply to payment and refunds.
- Premium activates when purchase completes and expires after the stated duration (calendar days from activation unless otherwise shown).
- Passes are non-transferable and tied to your Apple ID / app account.
- We may change prices for future purchases; existing active passes are unaffected.
6.3 Refunds
Refund requests must be submitted to Apple via Report a Problem. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
6.4 Free features
AI itinerary generation and manual expense tracking remain free unless we notify you otherwise. We may adjust free vs premium boundaries with reasonable notice.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our systems
- Upload malware or interfere with other users' data
- Misrepresent AI output as human professional advice to third parties in regulated contexts
8. Intellectual property
Planoptx, its branding, and app design are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of content you create (trip notes, expenses). You grant us a limited license to host and process your synced data solely to operate the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Provisions that should survive (liability limits, indemnity, governing law) remain in effect.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where prohibited.
