Frequently asked questions

Which devices are supported?

Planoptx requires iOS 26 or later. On-device Apple Intelligence (itinerary AI) works on iPhone 15 Pro and newer; other devices use built-in heuristic fallbacks that still produce useful plans.

Why doesn't AI itinerary generation work?

On-device AI requires a supported device, English locale support, and Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings. If unavailable, Planoptx automatically falls back to offline templates. See Settings → Apple Intelligence on your iPhone.

Restaurant or hotel names don't match Maps

Create a new trip after updating the app — older saved trips keep previous activity names. Pick your destination from autocomplete so coordinates are saved; generation needs network access for Apple Maps lookups.

My trip shows the wrong number of days

The Return date is the day you leave (inclusive). Example: start 26 May, return 27 May = 2 days, 1 night. Check both dates on the trip basics step.

Sign-in or confirmation email issues

Account email is handled by Supabase. If confirmation emails don't arrive, check spam or contact support — your project may need custom SMTP (e.g. Resend) for production. Magic-link and password-reset links must open in Safari on your iPhone.

Voice or camera permissions

Voice expenses need microphone and speech recognition access; receipt scan needs camera or photo library. Enable them in Settings → Planoptx if prompted.

Can I plan a multi-city trip?

Yes — turn on Multi-stop when creating a trip (premium). Add each city with its number of nights; Planoptx builds a per-leg itinerary with automatic travel days and one shared budget across the whole journey.

Where are my scanned receipts and bookings saved?

With premium, the photo you scan for a receipt or booking is saved alongside that expense or booking and can be reopened any time — including in a Receipts & proof gallery on the trip summary. These images are stored only on your device and are never uploaded.

How do premium passes work?

Buy a trip pass in-app (Weekend $1.99 / Trip $4.99 / Long Trip $9.99 / Annual $29.99). Premium unlocks for the pass duration. See pricing for the full feature list.

How do I delete my account?
